Tying lots of Gartside Soft Hackle Streamers. The daughter shot some ducks and she gave me some flank feathers. I’ve been putting the gadwall flanks to use in the streamers, along with some wild turkey marabou and dyed store bought type.

Used tapatalk once upon a time to post photo, but since that’s no longer an option is there any other free, zero cost, low hassle way to post photos on FFF?

Postimage is pretty easy. I've never used it on my phone through an app but can't believe it is not possible.
I'm a desktop guy.

Thank you, jhuskey.

Hopefully, I got the right app/service and the following photos will be of some Gartside Soft Hackle Streamers I’ve been tying and fishing.

Those are classic, especially the red and white.

Ducktail PMD

#20 light wire scud hook
Dyed olive-yellow Duck flank -- wings and abdomen/tail
Gray Senyo Laser Dub -- surrounding the duck flank wing
Olive Zelon -- right hackle underneath (like a bow tie on bottom)
The (tip only) of the abdomen/tail has a micro-drop of fabric cement rolled onto the end with a needle, to make it come to a sharp point. I doubt that matters to the fish but it does make a better photograph.

They do land gently and always upright, float well, cast well and dry off quickly. Catch fish too. I've been polishing this one for at least a decade now. I've fished it a lot.

I can't see well enough to tie these on anymore. Not without magnifiers. But I still like tying them, with 4x jeweler's goggles.

DITCH PICKLE RELISH
A new (hardly) streamer I'm going to be slinging next decade. Quick & dirty!
Hook: good ol' B10s
Tail: EP Gamechange fibers
Collar: Senyo's Aqua Veil chenille (Nuked Green Beans in this case)
Head: EP Minnow Head brush
Eyes: Fish Skull Living eyes
Unlike the balsa poppers and articulated streamers that I've whipped up, don't care as much if I lose one of these.

I call this one Fielding's Duckling, after Fielding Yost & that it is (kind of)an impression of a Wood Duck hatchling.
Hope to sling it on the ol' Featherlight in the Mitten this Summer. Going to carve & paint a lot more balsa & cork in 2020.

love it....every Spring, we get goslings on my tiger musky water (fresh hatchlings aren't a ton larger than ducklings) and I've been fishing a popper similar to that during that time (moved one fish, but no takers).

I'm on a Catskill trip today. Apologies to Rube Cross.

Nothing prettier IMO than taditional Catskill style dry flies. I have fallen in love all over again with Rube Cross, Art Flick, Roy Steenrod.. heirs to Theodore Gordon's legacy and the earliest practitioners of what came be the Catskill Style.

These are my take on the Wemoc Adams, and Blue Quill.

Always liked the catskill type flies. As well as the Maine streamers. No practical use for them here. The little sunfish shred em by i always try to tie a few .Mine are not pretty but look cool to have a couple in a fly box.I have a few books on Catskill drys and Rangely streamers.

Hi Hersh. Years ago I stopped tying and fishing most traditional Catskill style dries. But in the last couple years i started tying and fishing Art Flick variant dry flies. The Grey Fox and Cream Variant. These have been among my most productive dry flies. They variants are wingless, so quick and easy to tie, and they catch fish. Have been working lately on wood duck and hackle tip winged dry flies.

Use to love tying catskill flies with wood-duck flank. Here are a few ginger quills that were a go to in the Shenandoah N.P. and Smokies.

Its been unusual trying to get used to tying what I consider giant flies down here in Texas since the move from Colorado. The biggest flies I tied up there were #10 rubber legs but most of my stuff was from #18 on down in size to #26 like this #24 extended body BWO.

sorry about the picture on that one but I aint set up to take the little macro shots anymore #18 is about the smalles I can go and stay good and clear.

A felt crawfish pattern on a 60 degree jig hook. Firehole 523 in size 4, tan 3/0 uni thread, lead wraps around shank near hook bend, Arizona Simi Seal dubbing underneath and combed out extra buggy, mono eyes, rubber legs for antennas, and tan 1mm felt from Hobby Lobby. Solarez UV thin resin to harden tail and ‘v’ where claws split. Sharpie in red and black for crawl marks.

I guess I’ll call this the Barton Creek crawfish as I lost the prototype in Barton Creek while testing out how well it crawled over the rocks. :lol It actually did quite well, riding hook up but I got too aggressive throwing it in a pile of boulders with some brush. I’m looking forward to trying this out on some ranch tanks this spring.

Lately I've been sanding, filling, painting and tying up some of my favorite cork bugs....Round Dinnies! I grew up fishing these and decided to start making my own. Its been a fun learning experience and something I hope to keep doing! Pictured below are size 10's for panfish(see if you can pick out which one belongs to my 8yr old:) ) with one size 4 in the mix for spring smallmouth.
