I really like both of those. They'll fish great, I'm sure!

Tied this a long time ago. I think I posted it here once before too.

A Skinwalker--tied on dacron snell with a swivel up front.

Sort of a lazy man's Game Changer.
I've tied a few Game Changers. They're great flies but they do move the bar on what's acceptable, time-wise.

For this one I stretch a thin wire between two vises, where one is a rotary. The other end of the wire has a loop and a swivel, and goes in the other vise. Now I can spin the wire. Wax up the wire. Then tie on it, often using a spawn sack foundation. Then slide the fly off the wire (which is possible because you waxed the wire). It is a lot faster than the Game Changer. A lot faster. And vaguely similar--at least in the sense it's long and flexible for its entire length.

That pretty much mirrors how I feel about them....that said, I'm in the middle of one more bucktail changer in sucker/northern pikeminnow colors for tiger muskies.

Bones....I love that flashy lateral line on those white baitfish. That is a great looking patter and you get to see them coming with white flies :) I also love those gurglers...huge unsinkable "dry" fly you can throw on a 3 weight...what's not to like about them? Gartside was a genius.

Clarkman...I almost sprayed my laptop with coffee when I saw the eyelashes on your fly. I love it!

How do you like those discs? I haven't tried them out yet. I also keep meaning to grab one of those tools.

What's your rod of choice for that kind of stuff?

Thanks!
Clarkman23, I dig these discs yet you probably need a hot knive set to get them cleanly over the eye hook. IMO they will indeed push water well. Those Euro Pike guys are genius.
The MnFlyTool set I really like! This was the 1st time trying to tie in reverse (with Squimpish Hair too) and i did not get disappointed. With your skills I think you will enjoy the kit. Great customer service.
What I will be fishing these with will be my FF909 ooooorrr.. BAG 12. Really want to see if we can catch BIG catfish like our friends in Europe do! Plus I'm hoping to add some wildcat short 10-11 wt to the quiver soon.

Nice....I'm still torn on the tool as I don't tie a ton of reverse tied stuff (of course, that might change with tool in hand vs hollow pen I currently use).

Here's a smaller 6" sucker/pikeminnow pattern for Spring tiger muskies. I managed to hide a rattle in there as well.

Cheers!

playing around with a generic crayfish-y/sculpin-y pattern. I decided to make this one indestructible...Cheers!

clarkman23, very nice pattern - great mix of natural and synthetics!

I googled around and I guessed it - the Drunk & Disorderly. I must need to get out more.

lol....perhaps you do need to get out more. I got a nice chuckle out of that....because I do too!

I don't know if you've seen D&D's swim, but they dance more than anything you can imagine.

:lol maybe why the name......... clarkman23, what did you use to form the clear head around the barbell eyes? That looks like it would make a great saltwater shrimpy/crabby/buggy pattern for bottom feeders.

I just used the Loon thick UV resin. It's not really tied on a saltwater specific hook (although it would still work just fine) but tied more with smallies in mind and on a slightly smaller hook gap (than most of my 2/0 smallie stuff) so that it could double as a big trout streamer.

Thanks - does your Loon UV Thick end up sticky - when I touch mine, it is a little sticky and "smudges" a little cloudy looking.

It's never cloudy. I still haven't found anything that is completely tack free (Although once they're out in the sun for a little bit, they get there). I've started just coating them with Sally Hansen's, problem solved (and likely makes them even more indestructible). I did buy the loon light which is better than the previous light that I used, still not totally there.

Thanks for the tips. I need to start tying some Smallmouth flies, so will try the Sally overcoat.

Nice work everyone.

Clarkman, do you have a video/recipe for that sucker/pike minnow style fly?
