Fix for a Gem?

I've got a 2094 Gem with a gear that spins freely. It was stationary but after playing with it for a bit it broke free.

Any suggestions on how best to anchor it in place?

You can probably search the forum for an answer. I would attempt to pean the gear before trying anything else.

This happened on my Gem. I peened it and it has been solid since. Just a light tap.

I considered peening it but was wondering how long it would hold and if an adhesive might help.

Seems like any adhesive would interfere with function so unless I hear otherwise I'll try tapping it in place.

Thanks!

I did try peening only. A few minutes of turning the handle and it broke free again. Based on the recommendations I'll try it with the blue loctite next and report back.

Holdover,
Did the blue loctite & peening work?

Work life got busy for me and I never did get to it. I will eventually, and when I do I'll also work on making it left hand wind as well. I'll update on how it holds up.
