The iconoglass blank came with some sort of label or slide-on decal, I’m not sure which. Does anyone know?

Its a label you can apply to the blank if you wish. I just bought 2 loomis blanks - an iconoglass and a graphite blank. Both came with application labels like you describe!

MrJesse34,

Are they “stick-on” labels?

Yup! Application style, where you remove the backing and then have to flatten the air out. I’m not sure I’m gonna use them but leaning towards no.

The completed rod may be seen here. I ended up with a no-name seat that I found on ebay. It seems to fit the Medalist 1495 well, so I'm happy with it. Now to find a suitable rod tube.

That reel seat looks like one of the links I sent you, glad it worked out. How is the quality?

For Aluminum rod tubes I just bought a black one from Hook and Hackle. They are from crane creek. The sale price is the best I have found.

Yes the reel seat is from one of your links. I like it. Quality is very nice, IMO. Nothing fancy, but sturdy and fits the reel very well.

Thanks for the tip on the rod tubes. I will check that out.

Also check out MaxCatch’s website for inexpensive tubes. They have a variety of options, from Cordura covered ones to nicer options.
