So i have an master g-mf70 kicking around. The paint around the worlds finest logo is gone, etc. However the blank is good. I know some say bill didnt put enough guides on these rods. Has anybody rebuilt these rods with a new spacing recipie? And if so, what were the results like?

Hello
Never hear anyone saying that Bill Phillipson didn't use the right number of guides.
If anything all I ever hear is people asking for Bill Phiilpsons Guide Sizing and Placements.

If you have a short reach you can move the stripper closer to the grip, then add a tamer guide 6 or 8" in front of the new strippers location to get improved line control.
But that's not really necessary unless you have special needs.

Try calling Rick’s Rods in Denver. Not sure if they’re open during the pandemic, but they should know their stuff.
