With COVID preventing me from venturing away from the house, I have found time to get through a number of rod building projects that I've been putting off. One exciting project is building out an original Epic 686 3 piece blank in the rare mocha color that I special ordered years ago. However, I can't locate the guide spacing chart for the 3pc as Epic only keeps the current 4pc guide spacing posted on their site. Anyone here have the guide spacing for the 3pc 686 archived? I would also be interested in custom spacing some of you may have used for that particular rod.
Cheers,
Ron

I can measure mine for you in the next couple of days. Mine’s blue but the guide spacing should still be the same ;)

You might get an even faster reply if you email swift off their website, tho. They’ve always been really responsive to me and I’m sure they’ve got the 3pc spacing in the files.

Thank you for the replies Gentlemen, I did email Swift, but being the weekend, I have yet to hear from them. For some reason I thought there was only 9 guides total on the 686. Did Swift revise the original guide spacing from 9 to 10 guides on the 686? I see with the 4 pc version there is 10 guides total.

The insert that came with the rod is for the 3 pc rod.

and refers to this photograph.

(The updated guide spacings for the 4-piece are available from the Swift website.)

I read that thread but missed the last post indicating the insert was for the 3pc. Looks like the cm measurements are the same Little kern golden posted. Thanks again guys.
