I'm in.
As soon as I can get some pictures, I'll post what I am starting with.
A couple I picked up that are just beat to heck, couple of short sections, really bad rewrap jobs sometime in the past.
Planning to strip them down, probably remount the ferrules, build them back up.

I've got a lot of new builds to do this year, but I have a Phillipson Mighty Lite that could use a complete restoration.

I'll be working on my first build - A 7'9 James Green semi-parabolic 5wt. I'm really looking forward to getting this started, but first, I have a glass spinning rod that needs to have its guides wrapped. So I will be practicing with the spinning rod and then on to the fly rod.

I've got a Boca Grande I've built with a tunnel of alconite guides. Didn't care for it, so off they went and I'm rebuilding it with Recoil snakes.

I never finished the System 10 rebuild I planned for last year! So yes, I’m in.

I'm in the hunt for a project rod. Looking for a beater 7.5' or less in length. Number of sections or ferrule type not an issue.

I've got a System 5 that needs a complete rebuild as does a FF605. I still have a 6'6" Cortland FR-2000 that has been completely stripped and is, uh, waiting. First on the list, however, is a 7'6" Red Truck that needs a new grip and reel seat. I'll be doing the Red Truck from the butt end, which is a first for me.

I have some "winter" re-builds to keep me occupied. Just finished with a 8' W&M Denco , no pics yet, working on a 8' Diawa #2045, and a Coast to Coast rod made by Berkley. Also have an 8 1/2' F-85 Silaflex and an W&M All American to re-build. Looks like I won't get too bored this winter.

I've got a couple of modern blanks in the production line. I'll look through the old and see if there is a tired one that need redone.

Just recently finished an 8' W&M Denco. Tru-oil finish, new grip and new snake brand guides wrapped with Hunter Green silk thread. I'm not the greatest picture taker and it was pretty cloudy and grey outside. Have a few more winter projects to keep me busy this winter. Almost done with a "Coast to Coast" rod made by Berkley.

Nice color combination, I may try green wraps on my Moontlit Shadowcast 3wt. That one is next in line after 2 rods I was ordered and a graphite 0wt I'll be doing for myself.

I've got a Fenwick 7wt that I'm going to try to rebuild this winter. If not that one I have a Herters that could also stand to be updated.

Probably looking at new cork, Recoil guides, and a new reel seat. Going to try to retain the finish and overall colour scheme. Call it a resto-mod.

A generous forum member was kind enough to gift me a vintage fiberglass fly rod blank. The blank is two pieces. Unferruled. Haven't even measured it but am very excited to begin work on it. The color reminds me of a lemon drop. I want to put up a few pictures of it. It's been so long since I posted any pictures. What photo hosting service are you using to post pictures?

I recently bought a wreck of St. Croix with what I hope is a nice blank. Yes, I'll take pictures. Currently I'm using Imgur.com for photos, until something better comes up. Imgur works much like PhotoBucket used to work.

I used postimage. Seems to work well.

So, I took a few pictures and uploaded to IMGUR. Let's see how this goes.
Image
Picture above is the blank as I received it. Butt section was splintered 1/2" from the end. I cut it off.
Image
Another shot of blank before clean & strip. The tip and the top end of the butt section. Grease pencil marks the low point of the female ferrule.
Image
After clean & strip. It looks like a lemon. Lemonade? It's opaque, but I don't think it's painted. Citri-strip would have removed any paint. In this picture you can see the plug I epoxied into the top end of the butt section. The epoxy dried and I trimmed it flush.
Image
Dry-fitting ferrules. This is a much truer picture of the color. It's lemony!
Image
A few thread color trials. I have reel seat picked out-- a vintage two-tone job-- brown and copper Varmac. The cork rings are glued up. Guides are laid out. Finished rod should tape out to 7' but will know for sure once my ferrules are done. My best guess is this will be a #5 weight. I have no idea what make blank this is -- anyone have a clue? Thanks again Gary, for the little lemon drop.:-)

That's gonna be good. What kind of thread is that, with the lace pattern?
