Browns usually work well on yellow blanks. Without color preserver, they take on a reddish tinge. Orange and black jasper could be interesting. You could search Lamiglas builds on the forum, Lami blanks are yellow/orange.

I agree with the brown recommendations. I finish the thread with spar varnish without color protector and they look great.
