In the discussion of the Pflueger-produced Orvis Madison (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=71568), I began to wonder does Anyone here know of , seen , or possibly remember (?) , I recall as a kid around the 1970’s , at The Orvis Home Store in Manchester VT , poking around the store and running into a off the beaten path oddball stand up cabinet in a way back corner of the store , with some reel boxes on the top , being a kid and opening up a couple , this one in particular had an Orvis Madison Fly Reel in it , but as I remember the color , it was lighter olive frame with almost a light yellow cream color spool , don’t remember the size , so my question to all is , did this color combination actually exist , was it possibly a proto , or just an oasis of my fragmented childhood memory … Most likely the latter ?
