In exactly two days it will be seven years since I heard whrlpool utter the magic word "Crappiematic". The search has been long and hard but finally, finally one of these mystical reels is mine. (This reel is meant for monofilament line)

I hope you get more enjoyment from it than the name would suggest! ;)

You’ll probably start a lot of people searching (myself now included) for a elusive Crappiematic now , even if you never use one , you’ll need to have one , cuz you ain’t crap , until you own a crappiematic !!! That’s just plain awesome …

I give Glassngrass credit for prompting continued seven-year searches. I never dreamed it would go down like that. But let's not say the search is "over." That wouldn't be any fun. Plus, now you got to find the crappies. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=54310&p=248282&hilit=crappiematic#p248113

Hersh, awesome score! Looks to be in very fine shape. I think another poster said it best, you’ll cause many of us to start our own search for the crappiematic. Enjoy it my friend!

The reel may be made for monofilament but a very light fly line should fit on there very well.Possibly as heavy as a 3 WT.Thats what I would do with it.
