I'm going to post in the wanted section as well but I have a question that I think belongs here.

What are some click and pawl reels that will fit a dt6f line? Can be new or used. Not interested in anything made in asia.

Here are some I'm aware of and would consider:

Sage 506 or 505, CFO IV, Hardy Princess, marquis/system 6 or 7, abel tr 2 (I think it will fit a dt6, I had a tr1 and tr3, the tr3 would fit a dt7).

Some that I'm not real interested in are hardy dutchess, New hardy marquis (not a fan of the dual line guards), SA system 1 456 or 789, battenkill click and pawls (at least the bfr made ones).

I have 3 505s, a 506, a cfo iv. I had a princess with 2 screw line guard that I regrettably sold. I want to get one more and am not against trying something different. The reel will go on rods varying from a 8'6 6wt glass rod to a 9' 6wt graphite rod. A sage 506 would be perfect but they are awful expensive now, same with cfo ivs. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

I use a 506 and a tr3 and I think the tr2 and the system 6 might be a little tight if you like any backing. The other reel I use that is not as flashy is a llbean/young guide series 200. It is the same reel as a sage 108m or a wide young 1500 series. Strong check, rim control and pretty solid reel.

A 3.5" Beaudex would be fun. The wider spool version. Or the later Sage 108M.

The 108M (and 106 M ) are the click pawl reels I reach for most often, mostly because they are rugged and work so well.

It seems as though you already have the answer to the question you are asking. Since you already own most of the reels you are seeking, attempt to locate an additional spool for one of them.

The very best ever made is Young Jubilee 5350 - Hardy never made a reel this good.

The Beaudex/Pridex size, btw is 3-1/2" MW to fit DT6, and this reel is the same size.
3-1/2" MW also happens to be the most common size for all the late Young reels from Mucilin Brand to Neauvex and Sea Venture

This one is Allcocks Worcester, click-pawl, though the cam-drag knob looks like disc.

I’m a fan of the Hardy Marquis 7 for a DT6 line. Looks great on any rod. Seems like the common suggestion for the Marquis is go up a size if you’re planning to use a DT line.

The Marquis 7 is light for its size - I like the balance it provides on a Steffen 8’ 5/6 and McFarland GTX 8’6” 5wt (both with a WF5.5 line). The Marquis 6 might be too light for 8’6” 6wt glass or 9’ 6wt graphite unless you prefer light reels on those rods.

the Hardy-made Battenkill Mark IV is my favorite. It's very lightweight though so not great if you are concerned with rod balance.
This is the Mark III with a WF6..

The Youngs that bulldog showed are very nice too, I have all of those except the Jubilee which is rare and expensive..

A Hardy JLH 7 would be a fine fit for a DT6. They were made in England and there are several nice examples on evilBay right now.

depending upon your amount of backing requirements,
a dt6 will fit on an Orvis Lightweight 'W'.
and that particular model, is really the "gem" of that series.

I've settled upon a Hardy Bougle 3-1/2" for my DT6 line.
Kinda-sorta "click/pawl"...

And then there is always the venerable Pflueger 1495 (or even 1494?),
or is "modernized descendant" the Valentine single-action model 83 (or even 76?)

Don’t overlook the JLH #7.

As Bulldog1935 has noted, Hardy’s best reel.

Novisor, you queried 7 months ago, but the revived thread has me wondering what you selected. If you are still pondering, I'll mention the JW Young 1500 series again and its branded variants. The 1525, or for more backing, the model 1530 in Young or one of its branded variants.
