Any ideas on maker? There isn't a mark anywhere on the reel, sans the line sticker

Thanks,
Scott

It is probably made in Taiwan or Korea.I have a similar reel with a disc drag and it seems well made.Yours looks about the same.It has a nice simple click drag.

It is a very nice reel. Zero play, strong clicker. One would think at a maker would be happy to put their name on it

I can't identify the maker either, but it might be a purposely unlabled manufacturer's sale sample that would have been advertised to the trade with a "your label here" display or sticker on the reel. Perhaps there is a sign of where such a decal or badge was affixed, or even a retail brand badge, but I can't notice it in the pic.

Cool looking reel in its simplicity - whispering similarities to Abel.

I like that the spring is tuned, giving it lead in LHW.
The pawl is symmetric, so that's the only way to get it - you'd have to flip the spring to change wind direction.

Here's the all-time bargain-basement Abel, and I don't see a similarity at all.

I do, however, see similarities between the OP's reel and Ross. Ross and Tiemco had a longstanding business relationship.
