I've heard of echo reels but this is the first one I've seen,
Can't find much information about echo Denmark
But it's a solid reel
very smooth and tight

I’m guessing that it was made by the same people as the danvise

I think you're right hitch.
Danica is about all I could find.
I think it's one of the original echo reels.
I bought it at an estate sale.
$3.00

I've read that Fiskars made this reel as the Tecno, as well as the Compo dragless fly reels, for Danica. Other fly fishing brands like Airflo, Echo and Vision also distributed them in certain other markets, sometimes using different names.

You're right Algonquin Fan. I searched the names you mentioned and found my reel. Tenco fly reel Ath drag system made by fiskars. They seem to be popular in UK. I didn't think much of it, but the more I fiddle with it the more I like it. The drag is powerful and silky smooth with no start up stiffness. Silent going out and winding in. Thanks for the info
