Pretty good endorsement when we have Hardy and Valentine reels mentioned in a recent thread right along with Pfluegers.

Time for the annual PfluegerPfest. Go.

When they told the printer the 'P' was silent, he used invisible ink to avoid confusion. The 'P' will show up if you view the label with a UV pflashlight.

I don't think Pflueger ever fproduced pfiberglass pfly rods, but they marketed them labled Pflueger Pfly Pfishing Rod. I think most, if not all, were made by Shakespeare, and after Shakespeare fpurchaseed Pflueger in the mid 1960s, I pfigure all were either fproduced or sourced by Shakespeare. Pflueger graphite rods are fprobably sourced the same way.

Pflueger humor could hurt a pfellows pfeelings if he hadn't pfished Pfluegers and pfiberglass since the sixties and already taken a lot of pflack pfor it. I just hope the Hardy and Valentine pfans were pflattered to pfind those reels pfavorably mentioned alongside Pflueger.

Agreed. I'll take the two old beat up useless ones to the left in the picture. Should make you feel a little better at least. ;)

Ha Ha, we are a helpful bunch here aren't we? Always open to offers, but they always make me feel good to just sit and spin them. The big one purrs like a kitten, very soothing after a rough day. LOL

Soren,

That is a beautiful picture. Pfleuger, Fenwick and pike. The scenery reminds me of fishing in Wisconsin here in the US.

never let them put your nice reels on a motorized winding machine - always wind by hand.

The New Year's Eve starlight snowshoe walk and gathering brought a surprise. We had an extra Thule bike rack my wife didn't need anymore so I helped my wife set it up for one her pfriends last summer. They share other hobbies that bring them to our house where it is hard not to notice a little interest in fly fishing. So the friend had set aside a few items from her family, which I was delighted to receive: a Pflueger 1494 1/2 with Cortland line in a nice reel case, along with a Wheatley fly box and a few classic Catskill wets. What are pfriends pfor, anyhow?
