Anybody have opinions on these reels? They were built in Japan and is a CFO knockoff in some folks' minds. I got a small one (2100) decades ago and I find it a neat click-pawl with extremely tight tolerances.

I found a stash of the larger 2400's and got one for one of my bigger (9wt) silk lines.

I have and use the 2200 and 2300 purchased when Cortland was the distributor. Excellent reels, I prefer them over my CFOs. Smoother. Better tolerances. Always reliable. The manufacturer is UFM Ueda, and they are still available in Japan in an updated line called "Cantata".
Go to: www.ufm.co.jp/fly.html
then click on CANTATA
