I recently acquired (from Orvis' superb customer service dept.) the manual for the Orvis DXR Anti-reverse reels.
It's in PDF form. What is the best way to post it here?
It's pretty basic, a schematic and maintenance instructions plus it shows how to switch it from LHR to RHR.
It also shows the correct configuration for the disc springs under the drag knob, which is something I had a hard time finding online.
I do not have any online photo sharing accounts.

It won't let me paste it here.
:(

Edit to add: If anybody ever needs the Orvis DXR Anti-reverse PDF, just PM me and I'll email it to you.

New Hardy St George Reel Manual (Includes Hotspur which is pictured).

I tell ya she's a beauty. I don't think you can go wrong if the St George series is the only Hardy model you ever had. Simple elegance.

I've only posted this in about 3 dozen places. No admin on this forum has the foresight to make it a sticky.
Wrist slitting and bashing photobucket doesn't accomplish anything, and deleting your free photobucket account is even worse, however, this makes it possible to view every photobucket photo on the internet in context, if the OP did not slit his wrist and delete his free photobucket account.
Quote:
Seeing Past Photobucket Hotlink Block

Unless the OP deleted their photobucket account, every old photobucket image is still linked on this website (and every other place on the internet). Photobucket has chosen to show you a block image instead of the original image.

There are Free Add-Ons available for both Chrome and Firefox, which will let you choose to see the original photo instead of the "ransom block" image, both on this bulletin board and every other internet website.

For Chrome - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg?hl=en

for Firefox - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ket-fixer/

After installing my add-on, I called up an old thread thread, and I can see every photo
http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/foru ... &p=2247672
And of course, I can also see everyone else's old photobucket images in context on every thread and every website.

Uploading the patch, you're not doing photobucket any favors, giving them any money, agreeing with them - all you're doing is restoring your old knowledge base to where it was before the photobucket ransom

If you want to remove the add on later, go to Add-ons and remove or disable it, or with Chrome, just right-click on your toolbar.

As a co-creator with Ron of this thread, and having been offline here for a long time due to work pressures, today I'm concerned that I see few replies lately thanking posters for their time spent uploading classic reel papers or adding to the convos thereof.

Maybe it's just me, but the quickest way to kill enthusiasm for members who post is to read their posts, benefit from them, and not take a moment to appreciate their time and effort.

adding the blowup schematic for Diplomat 368. All the Diplomats use this design so it should be good for all models.
