Martin LM reel papers

Apologies. Not sure why I am having such trouble posting pics. I had it down earlier.

Martin LM

I see these are too small and out of focus to be useful to anyone. Will try again.
Added full sized bulletin so that it is readable.

Bulldog. I’ve only recently been here learning about clicker reels. Until maybe 2 weeks ago I had not heard of the LM reel. But I learned to admire them from a distance. Then mY coworker who is just getting into FF told me that he received as a gift from an elderly neighbor an old Martin reel. I figured a cHipped up 63 or 67 like mine. I laughed out loud when I saw it was a mint in box LM56 with papers. Some guys just fall backwards into it.

Hardy ad. Rod and Reel magazine January 1989.

My latest L.L.Bean Guide reel acquisition came with a (worn) box and papers. Sticker price was $59 on sale from $95 list. The paper copyright is 1996 so they were selling these reels into the late 1990’s….

It is a very basic reel but in response to a query about the Martin 66, here is the info for Martin models 65, 66, and 67-A

These reels appear to be identical except for color. Also, screw heads on the screws holding the frames together are different.
