Hell yes!!! I've been tempted by Shane's posts of Steffen 6/7's lately (lately, meaning within the last multiple months). Unfortunately for me, my budget won't allow for that right now, but daaaaaaammmmnnnn.....

Clark man, add one to your Christmas list! The 2/3 is such a fun rod. I’m sure the 6/7 is awesome.

Yeah, that 6/7 would fit nicely in between my 5/6 and 7/8

FYI to those contemplating a blank, the new Steffen Brothers/Graywolf site and purchase method through PayPal appears to work well and without a hitch. I'm in for two blanks, both 8' 4/5 2 piece. One, a flyrod build as a low water bug rod for smallies and pond bass. It's twin? Most likely a spinning build for some crossover jigfly/light F'n'F as I find the flyrod blanks also make the perfect spinning rods.

Years at it on carbon builds of all sort, might as well go in ambitiously on some glassy projects to welcome the New Year. I'll do an appropriate intro post sometime on this site, just wanted to FYI new site functionality in case any were wondering.

Thanks for the quick turnaround, package arrived today safe and intact. Blanks look excellent and I think I’m really going to like fishing them. Appreciate the shipping method, you weren’t kidding when you stated “I ship secure” for not even Indiana could break this…

Around these parts, receiving rod blanks can be a cringe moment if not packaged well. The above is strong centering and proper armor.

Now back to mulling over sizing charts and shopping lists. :)

I’m pretty sure Sandy is going to be building up the 7’ 5/6 you sent him Shane. Haven’t been able to find a single report on that blank! Should be a nice small stream streamer rod though.

In fiberglass? I don't think so. These are all great tapers. What do you have in mind? If I have the mandrel I can roll it.

I am making new graphite blanks, they should be ready to make available in a month or so.

Once upon a time Mark offered both an 8'3" 10/11 glass and an 8' 8/9 glass.

Shane, do you also have mandrels and cut patterns for the 4-piece models in the heavier line weights?

Yes sir I do. Please PM, or email me. With a deposit I can get things going on the blank. Current wait time is 1 to 4 weeks on blanks I have on order. Some blanks will be shipping this week, and I hope each week there after.
