[UPDATE: We ran into one of many snags along the way to bringing the seats back to Market, so, if anyone was watching, the events I wrote about below didn't happen on the dates I said they were. However, we are confident in the timing now; the interview on TFM and the availability of the Struble #20 will be 11/20 (the #20 on the 20th, get it?)...We held off on the presale until we are certain the anodizing will be finished by then. If everything is still on schedule by 11/14, we will start to presell seats...Again, thanks for everyone's patience and support!- Steve]

Greetings!

This is a big week for Struble! After long last, the machining for the first model we're reintroducing is ready for the anodizers (below are the sliding hoods). The model 20 will be offered in up or downlock styles and in both clear and dark nickel anodized finishes.

We're pre-selling them beginning 10/24 at strublemfg.com and they'll be available 11/20 (if not a little sooner).

Struble is also going to be featured this weekend in an interview on The Fiberglass Manifesto. We're very excited about this opportunity share our vision for Struble with the TFM's audience; Cameron has been great to work with and we appreciate his interest in our new venture.

After a lot of work, help and a few hurdles, we're crazy psyched to get our reel seats underway...Thanks to everyone for their support along the way!

Steve

Can you tell us whether the dimensions of the skeleton parts will be the same as the classic 20's and 24's? Threaded barrel ID, upper hood ID and OD, etc.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi, Jeff...

Yes, every spec will be the same for every model we manufacture. There were no drawings for the seats when we acquired Struble, so our machinist has been reverse engineering the models we are bringing back from original Struble reel seats we did inherit from the acquisition.

Below are two pics of the aluminum sliding hood (not anodized yet) we just finished for the #20. The first is fitted on an original nickel silver #20 from about 2012 and the other is a side-by-side pic of each sliding hood.

Hope this helps...Thanks for asking!

Steve
