Hey, All...

I confess I have been absent from the forum for a while. Struble has kept me so busy, I haven't built a rod since June nor fished since July. First couple months have been spent on learning agate guides; we're getting those restocked now.

From June till now we have been working with a machinist on reintroducing a couple models of the Struble classics. A couple turned into four because when we finally settled on a machinist, he bought into our vision and began actively contributing with some very exciting results we hope to expand on soon.

Because of our respect for Struble's legacy, our seats will be machined in a newly constructed ISO 9001:2015 facility machining to tolerances of +/- .0002 inches. It also compelled us to keep in touch and consult with our predecessor, Jeff Pentecost, who's been an invaluable sounding board and resource for us as we moved forward. Finally, fellow builders from this sight helped narrow our focus to the models we we settled on.

After three months, we're expecting to have four samples to inspect and put into production. Here are the seats we chose in the first run: (clockwise from left): The 20, 27s, 15LX3, and the venerable 1 (alright, that’s a 3 barrel but we’re excited and I don’t have a 1 with me- They’re pretty similar)...Initially, all will be in anodized 6061 aluminum (3 or 4 colors), enough stock to keep all of you supplied for however many rods you can spin, all but the LX3 will have both up & down locking styles, all made in Montana, America, and every one of them affordable...When production begins in the next couple weeks, we’ll be offering pre-order discounts on our website (strublemfg.com)...Thanks for all the kind words and your support!

Sounds like perfect timing for a handful of rodbuilding projects I've got slated for the winter.

These look fantastic.

I think I'll need to take out a loan for the level of stocking up I want to do.

Great news, love Struble! Are you going to offer zebra wood as well for the D27?

Thanks everyone...Should have our samples this week.

And, George: We have Zebra wood ready to go for both the 27 (which we have a handful of on the website) and the 27s which should be out in the next couple weeks.
