Hi everyone,

We just added a nice selection of acrylic insert reel seats to the site. The inserts are turned by this forum's own Tom S. You can check them out here:

Another batch of inserts just loaded on Matt's site today. Some really nice colours in this latest batch.

Hi everyone,

The bore is 3/8". They are generally mounted with a stent on glass rods.

Thanks,

Matt

Thanks guys.

As Matt said they are bored out a 3/8", I found that trying to achieve a larger bore left the mortise prone to chipping/cracking while machining. You might be able to open them up a touch more with a file, but I would recommend just using a stent if you're building on a fiberglass blank.
