The action of the new blanks is a bit slower than the earlier blanks. I've been fishing sample rods for the last 6 months or so and the recovery rate is better as well. In the sub $100 category these are going be hard to beat. The fit and finish on the new blanks is outstanding. Right now the shortest of the new blanks is 7'. I do have a 6' 2/3wt. blank called the "Olive".
