Dear All,

After a longer period than I would have ever imagined, I am proud to be able to introduce Yamame’s first fly rod.
It is a 7’2 5wt 4pcs and it is called ‘The Pure’.
I named it ‘The Pure’ because it is:
- Pure parabolic
- Pure craftmanship
- Pure quality
- Pure love for the product
- Pure fun to fish with

The rod has a medium fast action with a great recovery and is full parabolic, a stiffer in the middle and has a softer tip. This rod is highly accurate with dry fly and small nymph.

With a less than 23 inch section it is suitable to carry in a backpack.

‘The Pure’ is brown painted e-glass with an orange glow and comes with clear white spigot ferrules. They are rolled by Mike McFarland.
To develop this rod I only looked at the best quality and materials to get smooth rod with a perfect look and feel.
While developing this rod I choose only the finest materials to create an extraordinary rod which looks elegant.

The rod is made of high quality materials:
-Flor Grade cork grip from Portugal (turned in house)
-Snake Brand Universal Guides
- Stripping guides from Mildrum, Joe Arguello or Golden Witch
-Custom made reel seat hardware (turned in house)
-High quality insert (turned in house)
-Wrappings with the best silk
-Some green tipping as a Yamame signature
-Custom made rod sock (made in house)
-Aluminium tube

The rod has a starting price of $625 USD (plus shipping)

I will offer the first rods for a introduction price of $600 USD (plus shipping). This includes a 406 fly line.
With these lines I made all the test rods and they are the best fly lines for ‘The Pure’.
Demo's of ‘The Pure’ are available via Mark Leggett of Alternative Tackle and me.

I hope you like it,
Nico

Beautiful! Components, colors, and workmanship are all spot on. I like the length-line weight combination too.

Nico,

Well appointed rod, looks great.

Michi-glass is coming in late June... not sure if you have working demos or such ready, but If you wanted to get a little exposure to an event that has some of the nicest fiberglass fly rods in one place... Michi-glass is the event. There's a good group of guys there, with some very nice collections. If you have some of your rods that you might want to get out for guys at the event to look over and cast... I would be more than happy to watch over your samples and get them sent back to you after the event.

Contact me via PM if you're interested. That offer is extended to others who may be interested in getting their rods out in the hands of potential customers... The Michi-glass event is a great gathering, with a nice group of people.

The best,
Fred

Wow looks great! I was thinking a 725 rod would be great just a couple weeks ago.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the nice comments.
At the Mich-Glass-N-Grass gathering there is a demo of this rod.
Lucky for me Fred Paddock will take care of it.

Nico,
It'll be my pleasure to get the demo in the hands of those who attend Michiglass. It's always nice to have rods for guys and gals to sample.
The best,
Fred

I was invited to cast the version Christian built for Nico yesterday.
The blank has a marvellous translucent tobacco color.
Wow, what a smooth casting rod! The parabolic butt really kicks in when casting 50-60 ft.

The grip was still wrapped in plastic, so Nico needs to get the rod christened (ha!) on a nice stream soon.

Photo bucket decided to start charging for hosting and if you don't pay, your pictures no longer show up.

There are work arounds for some browsers to still see them. But yes, very unfortunate.
