In addition to the 8'4" 8/9wt 3pc wovenS glass blanks that Mike McFarland has been rolling for me, I'm now offering an 8'7" 6/7wt 3pc unidirectional black S glass rod fully built. Designed for lightning fast recovery with progressive fast action for targeting a wide range of species like redfish, stripers, carp, river bass, Great Lakes tributary fish, smaller pike and musky, and bigger trout. Able to move big dry flies and streamers, along with multi-nymph rig, with ease and accuracy.

Can be built saltwater-safe as well, with prices starting at $625 shipped and insured within the continental US, using US-made components from Lemke and Snake Brand. And, even though the limited 10-rod run of 8'4" 8/9wt Lowcountry Flats Glass is done, I have more of those blanks available for builds starting at $625 (upgraded titanium reel seat adds $50 for either build. Feel free to PM with any inquiries.

Marty

Would a 6.2 oz reel balance that rod? Thanks.

I got to cast this rod on Saturday at the Carp-o-rama and I was super impressed with it.

Thanks, guys. Been casting this one with several lines the past few days; seems to perform well with a great variety of lines from modern WF to vintage DT and just about anything in between. From DT6 to WF8, though I've settled on the ARC WF7 in redfish/bonefish. Fast rod that delivers the communication you'd expect from glass, while remaining light and accurate.

Chris, yes, a ~6 oz reel will balance it with the LC25 seat shown.
