FOUR piece? I thought all of Tom's blanks were 2-piece. What's up with this one?

Beautiful work Shane. I am curious, what is the weight of the rod?

How does it cast when you compare this to the standard two piece Morgan 7 weight rod? Thanks.

The word from the owner of this rod is that it is more beautiful than it is in the pictures. He is pretty excited to fish it. That could be a while though since we still have a lot of snow here.

Grouse, It has been well over a year since I had the 2pc model here. I would assume that adding the ferrules would stiffen the blank, but knowing Tom Morgan I am sure had had that worked out, and the two blanks are very similar. The four piece was just wonderful when I cast it for the few days I held onto the rod before I sent it to Alaska, and I received an email from the owner as Arctic Grayling mentioned he is thrilled with the rod.

A.G. I understand waiting for snow melt and ice out. Now that you have such a great new rod in the house the wait must be even harder. Looks like a great all around rod for your state.
