I went to Mario's website just on the off chance there was something new for 2011. I hadn't looked at it in many months, and sure enough, there is one new model: 203P3: 6.8 ft - 3 line parabolic - 3 pc.

That's his first 3wt in a parabolic. Maybe my kids will need to attend in-state college. Image http://mariowojnicki.com/_wsn/page3.html

I was in Bellingham today and Western Washington looked pretty nice, if that helps you any. Image

Yeah, I could plant one kid each in WWU (Bellingham), CWU (Ellensburg) and WA State (Pullman). I'd both avoid going bankrupt and have a reason to visit three different fishy areas of the state.

I have several of Mario's bamboo rods but I wanted a rod I wouldn't have to baby too much for small streams in the Sierras that often have a low canopy and frequently involve bushwhacking. He suggested his para 3wt 203P3. I just took delivery, haven't put a line on it, and haven't even removed the covering from the grip. I wanted to take a few photos because the cork will be fairly dirty hopefully before too long. I'll try to get a line on it this week and share my thoughts about it soon.

Thanks for the pictures Dwight and I'm eagerly looking forward to a fishing report. Mario's glass rods are something to look at, the holy grail off glass for me. Does any one know how to decipher Wojnicki's serial #s.

The serial # is probably "35th rod built in 2012". That's a lot of rods considering it's only mid-March.

Dwight, please do share your casting impressions soon. I have my eye on that model too.

The serial number on my Wojo 775 is 10269 which i think means it was finished on October 26, 2009. If I'm right about that your serial number may indicate that the rod was finished March 5, 2012.

Finished on March 5 - Monday?! You mean three days went by until Mario called on Thursday!
