Looks like the rumored return of the glass Heirloom series is now official: http://thomasandthomas.com/p.heirloom/heirloom.html

They certainly are. I have had the 8' 5wt. for about six months. It is beautiful and casts as well as it looks. I would post pictures, but my rod looks just like the picture on the T&T website.

I've come across only a few glass rods that make my heart pitter-patter upon first glance. The Heirloom is one of them, and like littlerichie says, they cast as well as they look.

When I visited the plant back in August they were busy building them. Trevor stated that they can't keep up with the demand that their dealers are requesting. The blank painting and finish process is much more time consuming than their graphite blanks, thus the waiting period.

While aesthetically beautiful, I prefer their graphite rods. The Paradigm 804 and the LPS 865 tapers are a couple of the nicest rods available.
