Here is a felted reel cover my mother-in-law makes. She is a widow and has been making these for local fly shops. I uploaded a prototype about a week ago and she has made what I think is the perfect size (for my collection). In the picture the pouch is holding a Browning 5230.
As far as size goes just send the diameter of the reel and the depth of the reel and she will make it fit. Pricing is $30 with the bone fish button + shipping. Unless you have a giant reel. She can make whatever you want.
These pouches are completely handmade and felted. The wool is naturally water repellent and breathable. Hand made by a person! When was the last time you heard that?
I know a sweater for your reel sounds crazy, but I can't believe how functional they are. I use mine when I am walking out to the river and it crushes down nicely into my vest pocket while I'm fishing. When I walk back to the car I put the reel's sweater back on in case I bump it ...
[I moved this here so more people would see it and perhaps discuss it. However, contact Fly Rod D by private message if you wish to order a pouch. Tom]
