As some of you know, I lost my job last month. It was tough for a while but I didn't let it hold me back from doing what I had been driving toward my whole life. I bought a business and am extremely pleased to announce the March 10th opening of DF Frame & Logo. If you have artwork, grip and grin photos, or anything that needs framing, let me know. I'll also offer custom embroidery logo caps, shirts, & jackets. Engraving is a service that some of you custom rod builders may be interested in. I've already begun talking to a very well known builder about engraving rod tube caps. I'll be incorporating DF Furled Leaders into the business immediately and plan to add custom fly rod sales in the future. The possibilities are almost endless. A website is coming soon ...

Awesome Beauglass! owning a business is a lot of work and fun. Having a good (honest) accountant and a business attorney who will work with you will make setting up shop much easier.

Way to go, Dane. I hope your new business really takes off. Of course, you realize this may leave you with less time to go fishing. You can send me most of your rods and reels and flies, and I'll make sure they don't get all dusty and rusty.Image
