Thanks for all the positive comments. I am hoping to have everything set up in the next couple months. I will be sure to post some pics of the progression.

RFMcD,
As far as the braider, Cortland owns a patent on that diamond weave/braid process so it will not be incorporated into any of my own rods. However, I may be doing some work for Cortland/Diamondback in the future and possibly producing some blanks for them.

Tom,
I have an 8'6" 4wt of my own in the works. I will post details soon.

Richard,
That is a good thought on labeling the blanks. If anyone has any input for or against that feel free to PM me.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I'm responding to the label idea. It could get pricey producing labels for a few dozen different blank models? Well, if you do, I'd suggest having your logo printed on it and using your own script for the writing (like T&T does). One thing though, use a different color than black so folks could discern your rods from the blanks (in case someone cuts off your logo). Sepia? Silver? Gold? Just some thoughts ...
Barry

I have to add my 2cents here, and agree, the Diamondglass 4wts, both 8ft and 8 1/2ft are my favorites, those would be a good place to start.
