I went to a estate sale today and out in the garage on a dirty shelf was a stack of old spin & casting rods. I asked what he wanted for one of the rods and was told that I had to take them all and the price was $5.00. So here is what I got.
1: Wright & Mcgill TRU-CAST 6 1/2' square glass spinning rod (fishable, but can use some TLC)
2: H-I mohawk Moose Lake 5', one piece, casting rod. Only missing the end cap.
3: Great Lakes Products, 5 1/2', one piece casting rod. The guides are wraped with copper wire and soldered
4: Western Auto 5' one piece casting rod. Missing the end cap.
5: Unnamed 5 1/2' two piece spin/fly rod. Missing a guide, and end cap.
I only wanted the W&M, but as I cleaned the others up thier beauty started showing up.

A nice deal for a fiver - think about the fun you'll have just trying to figure out which ones have the right "mojo"!

Why not donate them to the local boy scout camp?

Richard, that's a haul!

A post of your square glass rods would really interest me. I've held a few but don't own one.
