I read in the Fenwick book by Victor Johnson that Fenwick made an FS rod with spinning guides and one with casting guides (1966-1972). Example: FS 80 and FS 80C
What I didn’t see was a way to differentiate the two eyes themselves.
There are what I know as the snake type spinning eyes and there are heavy duty eyes like on this example. This one has no C mark, but has large, heavy duty eyes.
Are there other eyes specifically designed for casting?

That's a spinning guide - the smaller casting guide won't be this exactly, but the same idea, smaller and closer to the rod.

Ok, I had an idea that’s the way it worked but didn’t see anything in the book.

I’m wondering then if they made that at all with the snake eyes?
