My teenage sons have accused me of losing my touch on the Spin rod..
Pffft!!
How can you loose your touch when you’ve got one of these Phillipson Masters G’s
7ft Model G-MS701L (L=Light)
Mint/New Old Stock , Never seen the water ..
Preparing a special Neds Rig/Finesse box just for this little light line scotch ply Master .
My boys aren’t gonna know what hit em when “old” dad breaks this out on prespawn Bass!
Paired up a classic 80s Daiwa RG w/fastcast. Spooled it with Trilene 6lb test
If you can’t Finesse em with this set up ?
They CAN’T be finessed….
I know most hate fast cast but I’m a kid from the 80s and fast cast was hot stuff back then for a minute ,
Plus
I can steer the canoe and still cast . Or hang by tree limbs to make one handed casts from the bank.
Rod has a sliding “no-rock” reel seat, so if it is true I’ve lost my spinning touch …
I’ll just dismount the spinning reel slide it down into fly position ..
and robert’s your fathers brother..
Btw - It throws a nice 6wt once you get used to those heavy spinning guides.
Come on spring!!!!!!!!!
