Check out this video on Eagle Claw Featherlight copies from Bass Pro Shops. They very well could be made at the same factory. I picked these up for $20 each for the boys’ XMas. I might buy myself one too. We’ll give a review once we land a few pellet heads or something.

I think I'm going to buy one, strip it, and make a neat 1pc flyrod out of it. Could be a fun little oddball project.

I do wonder if it could make a neat little Spincast rod.

I'm willing to lay odds it's simply the update of this rod - kinda like the same rod with a new name for the market.

I made a fly rod out of one of those already, crazy in close roll caster! and surprisingly sensitive.

I have an older 5’6” version of that rod. It’s caught a lot of bass, bluegill and cichlids. Almost all of the flex is in the upper section. The cork is also a veneer over foam, rather than solid, but it’s a nice little rod for the price. I bought it when I was concerned that it would be pulled out of young hands into the water by a fish, (I lost a couple others that way and decided cheap rods would be nice to use) and the rod has stayed in rotation.

I grabbed one of these in their baitcast version to try out over the summer. I figured for the price, why not?
Geez I wish I had my money back. Underwhelming to cast and one of the few whippy sticks I just couldn't get a decent hookset with to save my life.
If it's the same the blank, a spinning model would probably be worth a try, but as a spin cast or baitcaster, not for me.

I picked one a few weeks ago and that time they only the 7’-6” model. I was looking this and they show stock at our local store? Maybe for Christmas?

A few years ago a couple of guys on the Ultralight Flyfishing Forum bought those and converted them to fly rods. They were very happy with them.
