Sorry this is not fiberglass, but I'm using a XUL Bamboo rod from a forum member here that made this Bamboo XUL Spinning rod 6footrod Marty, I have three XUL spinning rods from him and have yet to be disappointed. It is opening day trout season and my wife and I were thinking some fresh trout my appease our taste buds. The rod was more sensitive than I anticipated and set the hook with no problem, the only two issues I was concerned with. Thanks again Marty for another wonderful piece of fishing equipment.

nice outfit, nice fish - thanks for posting.
And don't worry, cane UL and even MM rods fit perfectly in this forum - look at the masthead photo with my Altex and Arjon cane.

Nice. I have never gone on opening day in Mo., but have seen pictures of the crowds in the Parks.

ps - I'm guessing that's a Japan-market Soare?
Did you buy it from ebay or hunt it down on the internet in Japan?

No apologies required...

A while back, I fulfilled a longtime desire for a bamboo Orvis spinning rod.

Since that time I've acquired the Superlight in 5 foot & 6 foot (one of which was owned by Joe Bates), a 6'6" Rocky Mountain Spinning, a 5'9" ultralight and a factory restored 7'6" Battenkill Spinning with a folding agate first guide.

Bulldog, One picture is the Sahara FI a few bearings and some CI4 away from the Soare that is in the other picture bought on the bay from Japan. I'm very pleased with both of them, but the Soare is a much smoother piece, IMO worth the xtra $
Bamboozle, your making my mouth water with your collection of Boo.

thanks - now I can see the differences in the handle knobs.
As I mentioned on another thread, found my Vanquish for 20% below list at Asian Portal, plus free EMS shipping (for anything over $100 - for $100, that's another 20%).
It's really rare to find discounted Shimano reels in the US.
https://fishing.asian-portal.shop/
They also sell discounted Tiemco fly reels.

Great looking rod and really nice fish!

Haven't made opening day in several years. Used to go to Roaring River where they let the kids out of school in Cassville, MO if March 1 lands on a weekday. Former Governor Kit Bond would shoot a starter pistol to start the day. I recall having ice in the guides on several opening days. Thanks for the photos.
