Anyone familiar with a Berkley Fibre Flex spinning rod? Picked one up recently ; labeled F30-6'6". It is 2 piece.
If so; when were they manufactured?
Thanks

found a closed F-21 listing with photos on ebay. Same type tipover ferrule used on para/metric fly rods.
Based on the choice of hardware (nice), the logos and fonts used, I'd say early-mid 70s - when Berkley rods shined.
I fished a Berkley TriSport 7' inshore spinning rod from then into the early 80s, and it was a great rod.

Fibre Flex has been mentioned as one of many ways Berkley labeled the same fly rods in the time period Bulldog refers to, or late '60s.
"Spartan, Bucannear, Tri Sport, Fibre Flex, Talisman, etc etc. All the same basic blank …"
I have no idea if different names designated finish levels or model year. The fly rods got my passing attention a few months ago and I recalled reading that name.

again, I was dating by ferrule type and hardware on the ebay rod I googled.

The TriSport had an aluminum spigot; the colors, including reel seat and plastic check/cap were brown/bronze with ivory logo contrast; but other than color, everything matches.
