the Penn reel in the same size is 6:1 retrieve.
Those small diameter spools don't pick up much line with each R

I finally got around to measuring the retrieve rate on the 308 last night. Surprisingly, it retrieves 20 inches of line per handle crank. That's about the same as modern ultralight reels like the Shimano Sonora.

How many of us are now digging through our old tackle wondering where all the Mitchells were stashed. I got three or four around here somewhere. They were all we used until we got into tournament bass fishing.
