It is slower with a softer butt than the F2.The reason why I bought it was it packs down smaller being 4 pieces.The F2 is better in a little wind and will handle bigger fish easier but Chris’s rod will get used a lot on small creeks.It is not progressive with 5 feet of line out you can feel it bend into the handle but will cast 30’ and won’t over power the rod if that makes sense ,really a fun rod.It’s smooth,tracks straight,very little tip bounce and mends well.Fished a 16 elk hair caddis with a 20 emerger as a dropper and caught a bunch of brookies in the 8 to 10” range a couple of days ago and had a blast……Aurelio
