Just got it a couple of days ago and caught my first fish this afternoon on a 18 elk hair caddis. This is a fun rod for me never owned a rod this slow a 10” cut bow put quite a bend in the rod.The fish was caught in fast water made a couple of jumps and the rod was very smooth. If anyone has this rod I would like to here what you think and will it handle 14 to 16 inchers ....Aurelio

It is slower with a softer butt than the F2.The reason why I bought it was it packs down smaller being 4 pieces. The F2 is better in a little wind and will handle bigger fish easier but Chris’s rod will get used a lot on small creeks. It is not progressive with 5 feet of line out you can feel it bend into the handle but will cast 30’ and won’t over power the rod if that makes sense ,really a fun rod. It’s smooth, tracks straight, very little tip bounce and mends well.Fished a 16 elk hair caddis with a 20 emerger as a dropper and caught a bunch of brookies in the 8 to 10” range a couple of days ago and had a blast……Aurelio
