There's a lot of confusion and differing opinions about what parabolic action is, so reviews are going to be all over the place. In my experience, all the rods I've tried that were labeled parabolic were more semi-parabolic - that is, somewhere in between progressive and true parabolic. I've never cast one but my understanding is that a true parabolic rod has a relatively heavy tip and a hinge point in the butt section. The only two "parabolic" Barclay rods I've owned are the 64p and the 70p and I would call them semi-parabolic. Whatever you call them, people seem to like them a lot - you included.
