I've built a number of s glass rods - Epic, CTS, Taniwha (niche UK supplier) and I'm now thinking of building a new 7' 3wt. The Epic 370 is under consideration but UK import costs are quite high. The other blank that has caught my attention is the Haldin HDT 37. Does anybody have any experience of these blanks? What's the quality like? How would you describe the action of this particular blank? How would it compare to the equivalent epic? Thx.

Welcome to FFR!
Sorry that I don’t have any experience with those rods. There are a couple of folks around that have built them. This thread mentions some casting dynamics.
It might be a good idea to get one and give it a go!

I have an 8 weight for bass fishing, nice rod, quality seems to be up there.

I have a HDT78 that I use for urban streamer fishing around Manchester, great rods and often discount codes available. Sandy Nelson built mine up with saltwater fittings and it looks as good as it fishes.
