Bulldog - my understanding is that the blanks Randy @ Retroglass sells are NOS - new old stock, built by Fisher back in the day and just sitting around since. I didn't realize he was rolling new blanks and calling them Fisher. Maybe I'm just misinterpreting what you said above? Just looking for some clarity.

Is there a site for Retro Glass and contact information?

My assumption was he had both - marked Fisher blanks, and marked Retroglass blanks made like Fisher.
Maybe somebody can check and report.

i agree with Giogio, for what you want and the price range your in i would find a FF85 and have someone redo the handle and reel seat. the 85 is a fun rod to cast and fish. for a while the fenwick FL blanks were for sale on the big auction site for less than $100. im sure some will pop up still from time to time . Most of the modern blanks i buy are $200-$300 each and then the components are another $100. One more thing, if your not in a rush, periodically Epic blanks go on sale, i think i got one for $149. if i see that sale again in the next year i will probably by at least 2 more.

]I respect you want to buy US made products. I try to do the same, although when on a budget it may be impossible depending on the product. I look at this way, although the product may be made in Asia or China, if it's for sale in the US someone here is making a living from it's arrival to the point it's in my hands. From the time it hits US soil it's all USA.
