Kind of curious to get the forums input on this.

So I have been looking to build a 8 at glass rod for steelhead and salmon. I have been wanting to pull the trigger on a CTS blank for a little while. I saw that you can upside the tip and butt sections by up to 2 line wt. sizes. I was wondering if anyone had experience with their custom blanks. My question is, would upping the butt section of the rod would give it a “faster” action. I’m used to epics fast glass blanks but and really interested in looking into CTS .
