Crowdfunding to launch a business in which funders become part owners is one thing. Crowdfunding to purchase a product not yet produced is another. Whrlpool best summary could not be explaine
Indeed this tipology of business in europe is constantly under the control of the European commission
Agree with Marty and Tom
(Ps for Tom 406 " the good wine is in the small barrel" I use your line with great pleasure.

You and Alexis have done it the right way, Tom, and your commitment is reflected in the excellent product.

What really matters to me (and i respect all opinions on this thread) is respect. When these anglers step into the stream, will you treat the guy with the budget rod with the same respect as the fisherman who purchased the $500 US made product? Will you judge the fellow who spent $$$ on his rod as you perhaps envy it and can’t figure why the heck someone would spend that kind of money?

Free market capitalism in a country where we are all equal.

As long as the product is provided to the buyer through crowd sourcing in fine since money not lost until fund goal is reached.

Whether the product lives up to the marketing is on the buyer in my opinion since the buyer should understand the risk.

Update #5:

"The Moonlit Lunar S-GLASS Fiberglass Fly Rods have completed production. The Factory will ship them out tomorrow to us. We have expedited the shipping so we can get enough to fill all your rewards Tuesday and Wednesday next week. We will notify everyone with tracking info when your rod ships out."

Nope. They just updated that they were delivered today and their goal is to get everyone tracking numbers by tomorrow evening.

Got my Lunar 6wt in today. It looks incredible! There is only one flaw on it, which is in the finish on one of the wraps. I build rods, so I feel that I have an attention to detail, and I can say that this is near flawless. I'm very, very impressed! Balances fantastic with my Redington Behemoth, action feels great, but I haven't been able to cast it yet.

Got my 7 wt today. Packed really well, finish is good. Wiggles like the other rods I have. I’ll take it out on the water tomorrow. I am sure it will be just fine.

I have the 5wt . I wouldn't buy it again but I'm not sure what I dont like about it . One thing the alignment dots at the last joint dont match and maybe the action is just too full flexing .

I think if I had to do it over again, I would have bought the 2 wt (I bought the 4 wt, thinking I'd be able to do more local panfish trips, which hasn't happened), OR have bought the blanks. It's an okay rod, I do like the 4pc design, and I think it will serve its purpose as a 'truck rod' or letting friends borrow a rod for a trip.

I'm not a fan of the reel seat, and I haven't fished it enough to be comfortable with it, but initially I think my Rio Gold 4wt line is not the right option for this. I may pick up a 406 4wt, but for what the rod was offered at for the initial promotion price it was a good value.

Unless I can get the rod dialed in, I wouldn't say the full retail price was worth it compared to other rods around the same price point.

Anyone with the 6 or 7wt have any comments after fishing these ? I see they have 6wt's with and without fighting butts. Looks like they've discounted them for the holiday season.

I have a 6wt. Never ended up fishing it and now I'm selling it since I don't think I'm going to use it as 6wt is overkill for all my fishing.
