Flyguy it sounds like the rod is closer to a 6wt then a 5? I ask as my collection of stillwater sinking lines is mostly 5's and I would build one up as a single hand float tube rod. Would love to see some pics of your build too!

I feel that this rod will handle a variety of lines. I plan on using it with both a 5 and 6 weight myself depending on the application. I would think it would cast all you 5weight sinking line and would make a fine float tube rod.

I am super intrigued by this rod/blank. The website linked in the OPs initial post doesn't work. Does anyone have the contact info for Mr Green? Or his username on here? I did a search and several posts said to DM him but nobody listed his username. Thank you. Feel free to DM me if needed to avoid putting his contact info on the internet.

Very interested in getting a blank and having a builder build it up as a switch rod.

Thanks

John

Note that this blank is a 5 + year old thread. Small makers have their own reasons to maintain a high or low profile on line. It would be up to James Green to reply about availability of this blank, or possibly a stocking dealer. Otherwise, a PM as mentioned is the way to convey any information you have about the blank or maker.

For the blank, you might inquire through his dealer, from a more recent thread- viewtopic.php?f=32&t=68116#p366052
