When I got home Sunday night this was waiting for me. I bought it on the Bay.

This is a 7'6" rod. It is the sweetest casting rod with a WF6 line. Does anyone know who made the blank, or anything about thr rod maker?

If it is an H-I, I think it's an H-I blank. Didn't H-I produce their own blanks? Someone please straighten me out if I've got this wrong. The rod is, undeniably, a "pip" whatever it turns out to be.

Nice rod, classy hook keeper there and a cool reel seat.

It almost has an old Eagle Claw look to the blank. I have an old spinning rod I grew up using for trout that was identicle to this (blank that is).

That is a pip. It does look like an H-I to me. I have a 7 1/2--green colored but otherwise similar characteristics, including the pleasant casting. Mine is a used-up garage sale beater; yours looks pretty nice. I don't know where I have that thing stashed right now; if I run across it I'll post a photo for more comparison as a little closer inspection could nail it as an H-I or show I'm wrong.

Old thread new rod to me- I recently picked one of the at a lure collectors show here in Texas. Jeff Wabash 1967 put his HI of the same vintage up against each other, and Whirlpools correct, they are in the same family.

Good caster which should see some action in 2020

H-I made some great glass blanks - they finished out in different grades some with few guides.
The best glass spinning rod I own is an H-I Star
