I barely started working on the rod and the plastic reel seat seemed to be loosening but the blank was cracked prior to me really working it loose, disappointed I have a rod tip if anyone needs one

In the famous words of Douglas Adams, "Don't Panic!"

You can fit a piece of fiberglass blank inside the remaining rod. Ssearch for the words 'stent' and 'handle' on forum and you should find quite a bit of information. Build a new grip on the stent, but retain the rod blank and hosel. Glue the stent into the existing blank. With some planning you might not need to remove any guides or wraps.

Obviously this would be a larger project than simply replacing the reelseat. But we are going into winter soon, why rush?
