Can anyone offer insight into early PowR-Ply serial numbers? I’ve fortunately got a few in the collection but am wondering about the ###-#### serial number format.

For example. I have a 9’ 10wt with a serial number 490-1801. What do these numbers indicate? If I had to guess… maybe this particular rod was the 490th one built of that model, and 1801 is the serial number overall?

Anyone else care to weigh in?
