All,
Please excuse my ignorance. I often encounter what appear to be fractions when I read posts about fly rods. Can someone educate me about the meaning?
Best wishes.

A three section rod with two tip sections would be referred to as a 3/2 configuration.

The most common interpretation of a fly rod labeled 3/2 would be a three piece rod with two tips (frequently seen with bamboo rods). It could also refer to a three piece, two weight rod. Mike

I'll confuse the issue, there's also ferrule sizes in Heddon rods, 2f, 1-3/4f, 1/2f, and down 0f
