It's snowing here in April...
I thought I'll share a few nice pictures of an early glass rod by Mario Wojnicki.
I passed on the rod and maybe I shouldn't have...

I agree that looks like a Lamiglas hollow ferrule, but the LTD was very translucent. That doesn't mean the rod definitely did/did not come from Lami. I Undoubtedly the taper was made to Wojnicki's specifications.

Twenty years back Lamiglas was custom builder friendly. The builder could specify the mandrel (or provide their own), the glass pattern (or graphite), as well as the finish. I vaguely recall Wojnicki may have had an association with Lamiglas. Dave Lewis, FD Lyons, and McFarland all worked with Lami back then. Near as I can tell, Lamiglas doesn't make custom glass blanks anymore.

Enjoyed seeing the rod posted. Brown blank not common for this builder.

A quick photograph of a Peak fly rod above which is similar. Both quality builds.
